Produced Water Society Scholarship Program
Investing in the next generation of produced water professionals.
The Produced Water Society Scholarship Program supports students and early-career professionals pursuing education and research related to produced water management. By reducing barriers to learning and encouraging academic and professional growth, the program helps strengthen the future of the produced water industry through knowledge, curiosity, and shared purpose.
Learn. Grow. Lead.
Colin Tyrie Scholarship
Each year, the Produced Water Society Board of Directors awards multiple Colin Tyrie Memorial Scholarships to graduate students conducting research in produced water treatment, management, and characterization. The scholarship honors Colin Tyrie’s legacy of advancing student research, professional development, and knowledge-sharing within the produced water community.
Selected recipients receive financial support to further their academic work and are required to present their research at the Annual Produced Water Society Seminar. Recipients are chosen based on the quality, innovation, and relevance of their research and are selected by the PWS Board of Directors. This opportunity allows students to engage directly with industry professionals while contributing fresh insight to the global produced water community, with presentations hosted at PWS events in Houston, the Permian Basin, or the Middle East.
