EPA Report Released

Jan 29, 2010 - January 29, 2010 – EPA recently released a report entitled “Measurement of Emissions from Produced Water Ponds: Upstream Oil and Gas Study #1." The report presents emission estimates from produced water holding evaporation ponds facilities in Western Colorado acquired in August 2008.

The report can be accessed at http://www.epa.gov/nrmrl/pubs/600r09132/600r09132.pdf.

We do not generally follow air issues, but there is growing interest in air quality from western U.S. oil and gas fields. This may be a good reference to have on hand.
